This 8 week course has been designed for those who are new to yoga and are looking for an introduction to the practice in a safe and supportive environment. Each week we will focus on a different foundational element , giving you a well rounded 8 week introduction to the practice.
You will learn:
Week 1 - Foundation alignment principles
Week 2 - Foundations of standing poses
Week 3 - Breathing techniques (pranayama)
Week 4 - How to use Bandhas (spinal locks)
Week 5 - Twists & Forward Folds
Week 6 - Backbends
Week 7 - Inversions
Week 8 - Putting it all together. Practicing with intention and mindfulness
This workshop will give you all the tools needed to commence on your yoga journey. A regular yoga practice improves core strength, flexibility, muscle tone and body awareness whilst calming the mind through the use of breath.
