Recreation Grants 2017: Successful Applicants

A highly competitive grant round with a diverse range of organisations and projects proposed.

The panel found it very difficult but were able to fund 10 separate projects which will have an immediate impact on recreation participation in the local area.

This year's recipients are:

Join the Team and be trained by the upcoming stars of the South Sydney Rabbitohs.

Training Starts 4 Feb 2014 at 6.30am at the PCYC in south Marrickville.

This Club is for those 12-24y.o. who are serious about their health and fitness

School Holiday Fun

$10 for 2 hours of Holiday Fun - Basketball and Soccer
Tuesday, 22 September 2015 - 10:00am to Friday, 2 October 2015 - 5:00pm

These fun 2 hour sessions for $10 is great for kids (unisex, aged between 6-12) and NOW ages 13-17, that love basketball and/or soccer. Both programs run separately and consists of fun drills and games, aimed to improve and enhance many different areas in junior sports.

NO PRIOR REGISTRATION .. Just drop in!
All registration can be sorted upon arrival

REGISTRATION CAN BE COMPLETED ON THE DAY. Kidzcare forms and membership CAN be completed when you drop into the centre. No prior registration is required as it is a drop in program.

Is Sport Enough?

Australian children are ranked as some of the least active in the world when it comes to physical exertion, according to a new report.

The inaugural Active Healthy Kids Australia Report Card, compiled by researchers from Australian universities and endorsed by The Heart Foundation, found 80 per cent of children between the ages of five and 17 are not getting daily exercise.
